Answers to the questions customers most often ask about the mentions feed, searching for publications and sources. Each answer is short — detailed instructions with screenshots are in the linked articles.
Searching and checking publications
A publication was definitely released, but I don't see it in the feed. What should I do?
- Check the period: extend it by 1–2 days in both directions.
- Switch the date filter to "By Date: Proceed" — some sources (press, TV, radio) arrive in the system with a delay.
- Reset the filters with the "Clear" button and check the status (it should be "All", not "Favorites" or "Processed").
- Find the article by its link: "Publication search" →
url:and the full link without a space. - Check whether the source is blocked in "Feed settings".
- Check whether the publication matches your keyword (whether the text contains the required words).
If the source is not in the system, suggest it (see below). Learn more in "Searching the Feed: How to Find a Mention and Check Whether an Article Is There".
How do I check whether a specific article is in the feed?
Click 🔍 "Publication search" above the feed and enter url: followed by the article link, for example url:https://www.site.com/news/article/. You can also search for a unique phrase from the text in quotation marks.
How is "Publication search" in the feed different from the "Search" section?
"Publication search" searches only among mentions already collected in your feed. The "Search" section searches the entire LOOQME database, regardless of your keywords.
Why do publications appear in the feed with a delay?
Some sources (print press, TV, radio) arrive in the system with a delay. To see everything that arrived during a certain time, use the "By Date: Proceed" filter.
Sources
How do I add a new source that is not in the system?
In the filter panel, click "Suggest to Add a Source", paste the URL and click "Submit". A new source is connected within 48 business hours (if technically possible), and you receive the result by email. Learn more in "Mention Sources: Source Card, Blocking, Suggesting a New Source".
How do I remove mentions from a certain source from the feed?
Click ▾ next to the source name on the mention card and select "Block". Blocking applies to the whole workspace — your colleagues will also stop seeing this source. You can unblock it in the profile menu → "Feed settings".
The source audience data is incorrect. Where do I report it?
Click ▾ next to the source name → "Report a problem", select the problem type (name, topic, geography, audience, date, missing article, etc.) and click "Send".
Working with mentions
Why is "total" higher than "originals" in the feed?
The difference is duplicates: reprints of the publication in other media or reposts within the same social network. The "Duplicates" toggle above the feed shows or hides them. Learn more in "Duplicates: What They Are and How to Work With Them".
The sentiment or role was determined incorrectly. What should I do?
Change the sentiment yourself — click the emoji on the mention card. Role and sentiment for a specific keyword are changed in the mention view panel. To report the error to the LOOQME team, click (!) "Report an encoding problem". Learn more in "How to Change a Mention's Sentiment and Role and Report a Coding Error".
How do I change the sentiment of many mentions at once?
Select the mentions with checkboxes and choose "Edit mentions" in the bulk actions panel. Learn more in "Bulk Actions: How to Work With Several Mentions at Once".
I accidentally deleted a mention. How do I get it back?
Select the "Deleted" status above the feed, open the mention and click "Restore" at the bottom of the view panel.
How do I mark all mentions as read?
Click ✓ "Mark all as read" above the feed.
How do I translate a publication in a foreign language?
Open the mention and click the globe icon in the view panel — the text will be translated into the interface language. Learn more in "How to Open a Mention: Full Text, Translation, Metrics and Duplicates".
How do I save a set of filters so I don't have to set it up every time?
Create a feed page: click "+" next to the tabs, enter a name, turn on "Add selected filters" and save. Feed pages are visible to all workspace users, and there is no limit on their number. Learn more in "Feed Pages: How to Save a Set of Filters as a Separate Tab".
Why is only part of the mentions shown under a keyword?
The number of mentions loaded under each keyword at a time is set in the profile menu → "Feed settings" → "Number of news under the KW" (10, 20, 50 or 100).
