For each mention, you can quickly learn more about the source (country, level, topic, audience), show all mentions from this source, block an unwanted source or report an error in its data to us. This article also describes how to suggest a new source and where to manage the list of blocked sources.
The source menu
- Find a mention in the "Mentions" feed.
- Click the ▾ arrow (1) to the right of the source name at the bottom of the card (for social media — to the right of the post type, for example "Post").
- Select the action you need from the menu.
| # | Menu item | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| 2 | Copy post link | The link to the original publication is copied to the clipboard — you can paste it into an email or a messenger. |
| 3 | Show mentions from this source only | A filter by this source is applied to the feed. |
| 4 | Block source | Mentions from this source will no longer be shown in the feed. The list of blocked sources is in the profile menu → "Feed settings". |
| 5 | Show source card | Opens a window with detailed information about the source (see below). |
| 6 | Report a problem with this source | Opens a form to report an error in the source data or a missed article to the LOOQME team. |

How to report a problem with a source
- In the source ▾ menu, select "Report a problem with this source".
- The "Source" field (1) is filled in automatically.
- In the "Source problem" field (2), select an option from the list (3).
- Click "Send".
| Problem option | When to choose it |
|---|---|
| Wrong source name | The outlet name is displayed incorrectly. |
| Wrong topic source name | The source topic is determined incorrectly (for example, a business outlet is marked as a sports one). |
| Wrong geography source name | Incorrect country, region or city of the source. |
| Incorrectly specified audience source | The audience differs significantly from the real one. |
| The date in the original does not match the date in the system | The publication date in LOOQME is different from the one on the website. |
| Missed article | A publication from this source is on the website but did not get into the feed. |
| Another problem | Anything else. |
How to suggest a new source
If the outlet, website or page you need is not in the LOOQME database:
- Open the filter panel in the feed and scroll down.
- Click "⊕ Suggest a source" (1).
- In the "Suggest to Add a Source" window, paste the source link into the "Enter the source URL" field (2).
- Click "Submit" (3). The LOOQME team will check the source and, if possible, connect it within 48 business hours. You will receive an email with the result.
How to view or remove a source block
After blocking, the message "Source blocked" appears, and mentions from this source disappear from the feed for all users of the workspace.
- Click the profile icon in the top right corner → "Feed settings".
- Block (1) shows blocked sources, authors and publication places.
- To unblock a source, click the ↺ "Unblock" icon (2) to the right of its name. The message "Source unblocked" appears, and mentions from it will be shown in the feed again.
- Block (3) shows selected authors and selected publication places.
- The "Number of news under the KW" field (4) determines how many mentions are shown at once under each keyword in the feed: 10, 20, 50 or 100.
Frequently asked questions
Will already collected mentions disappear after a source is blocked?
Yes, mentions from a blocked source immediately stop being shown in the feed (the publication counter decreases). If you unblock the source in "Feed settings", they will be visible again.
Does blocking a source affect my colleagues?
Yes. Feed settings (blocked sources, authors and publication places) apply to the entire workspace: a blocked source disappears from the feed for all users. If you need to hide a source only temporarily for yourself, use the "Source" filter with the ⊖ button.
Can I temporarily hide a source without blocking it?
Yes. In the filter panel, open "Source", find the source you need and click ⊖. It will be excluded only from the current feed view; to bring it back, remove the filter (✕ or "Clear").
How long does it take to connect a new source?
The LOOQME team checks the request and, if connection is technically possible, adds the source within 48 business hours. After the request is processed, you will receive an email saying whether the source has been added.
Why does the source audience data differ from the outlet's own data?
LOOQME uses unified data from open analytics services so that all sources can be compared using the same methodology. If you see a significant discrepancy, report a problem with the source.
If you need more help, write to the support chat or contact your manager.
