The "Analytics" section turns mentions from the feed into charts and metrics: how much was written about you, with what sentiment, in which sources, what audience could have seen the mentions and how you compare with competitors. This article explains how the analytics page works and what each button does.

How to open analytics

Click "Analytics" in the top menu. Analytics is built on the same keywords and for the same period as the "Mentions" feed.

The Analytics page in LOOQME: tabs, page creation button, filters, Download PDF, Share, Create Chart, Add Chart, period and a widget

# Element What it is for
1 Analytics tabs Icons from left to right: "General Analytics", "Social Media Analytics", "Media Analytics", "Pages", "Images". The tab name appears on hover.
2 "+" Create your own analytics page from a template or from scratch.
3 Filter icon Show or hide the filter panel.
4 Filter panel Keyword, Tag, Source Type, Sentiment, Role, Mention Type, Geography, Source, Author, Language. Filters are applied to all charts on the page.
5 "Download PDF" Download the current analytics page as a PDF.
6 "Share" Copy a link to the analytics page.
7 "Create Chart" Open the builder and put together your own chart.
8 "Add Chart" Add a ready-made chart from the library.
9 Workspace and period The period for which analytics is built. It is shared with the "Mentions" feed.
10 Widget (chart) A single metric or diagram. On hover, the ⋮ menu and a resize corner appear.

To view analytics for one brand, tag or source type, use the filters on the left. For example, select a keyword and the "Negative" sentiment to see only negative mentions of the brand.

How to change the analytics period

  1. Click the workspace name with the dates in the top right corner (9).
  2. Select a ready-made period ("Today", "Yesterday", "Week", "Month", "Quarter") or enter the dates manually.
  3. Click "Apply". All charts will update.

What you can do with a chart (widget)

Hover over a chart and click ⋮ (1) in the top right corner. A menu (2) opens:

  • "Delete" — remove the chart from the page;
  • "Download picture" — save the chart as a picture, for example for a presentation;
  • "Copy to…" — add a copy of the chart to another (custom) analytics page. In the window, select a page from the list or create a new one and click "Save".

To change the size of a chart, drag the corner in the bottom right of the widget (3).

How to read dynamics charts

Mention Dynamics chart: By Weeks grouping, tooltip with values, legend, widget menu

  • Grouping (1). In the list on the right, choose how to group the data: "By Days", "By Weeks", "By Months" or "Auto".
  • Tooltip (2). Hover over the chart to see the exact values of each line for the selected date.
  • Legend (3). Click a name in the legend to hide or show the corresponding line again. This is handy when one line "covers" the others.
  • The ⋮ menu (4) — the same actions as for other charts.

Additional features

  • Jumping to mentions. The names of some widgets are marked with a "›" arrow (for example, "Top 10 mentions"). Click the name to open the corresponding mentions in the feed in a new browser tab.
  • ⓘ tooltips. Next to metric names in tables there is a ⓘ icon — hover over it to read how the metric is calculated.
  • Percentages with an arrow. Next to the main numbers, the change of the metric in percent is shown: a green up arrow means growth, a red down arrow means a decrease.

Frequently asked questions

Why do the numbers in analytics differ from the number of mentions in the feed?

Check whether the period and filters match. Analytics takes into account the filters selected in the panel on the left, and the feed uses the filters selected in the feed. Also check whether duplicates are shown in the feed.

How do I download analytics for a report?

Click "Download PDF" (5) — the page with all charts will be downloaded as a PDF. An individual chart can be saved as an image via the ⋮ menu → "Download picture". For scheduled and detailed reports, use the "Reports" section.

How do I share analytics with a colleague?

Click "Share" (6) — the page link is copied to the clipboard, and the message "Link copied" appears. Send it to your colleague.

I deleted a chart by accident. How do I get it back?

Click "Add Chart" and find the chart you need in the library (the "System" or "All" tab), then click "+" next to it. Learn more in the article "Custom Analytics Pages: Templates, Chart Library and Builder".
