A keyword is a search query by which LOOQME collects mentions from media and social media for you. For example, the keyword "monobank" collects all publications that mention this brand. All mentions in the "Mentions" feed are grouped by keywords.
This article explains how keywords work, where to see them and who can create and change them.
How keywords relate to the feed
- Each keyword is a separate group in the "Mentions" feed. The group header shows the keyword name and the number of mentions: "N total / N originals".
- One publication can get into several groups if it matches several keywords.
- Analytics, alerts and reports are also built on the mentions collected by your keywords.
Where to see the list of your keywords
- In the "Mentions" feed, click the filter icon (funnel) to the left of the "N Keyword / N publications" counter.
- In the "Keyword" block, open the "All keyword" list (1) — all keywords of your workspace are listed here.
- Below the list, you can see how many keywords of the available limit are already used: "Used N/M".
| # | Element | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Keyword list | All keywords of your workspace. If you select a keyword in this list, only its mentions remain in the feed. |
| 2 | Pencil ✎ | Appears on hover and opens keyword editing. Available only for keywords you created yourself with the AI assistant. |
Who creates keywords
You can get keywords in two ways:
- Yourself, with the AI assistant. You describe in plain language what you want to monitor, and the assistant composes the technical search query itself. You don't need to know any special syntax. Learn more in the article "How to Create a Keyword With the AI Assistant".
- Through the support team or your manager. For complex and critical topics (reputation monitoring, crisis situations, topics with a lot of "noise"), we recommend contacting support — specialists will compose and check the query manually.
You see keywords created by the LOOQME team in the feed and filters, but you cannot edit them yourself — there is no pencil next to them. To change such a query, write to the support chat.
Limits related to keywords
- Number of keywords — a permanent plan limit. The current value is shown in the filter ("Used N/M") and on the "Data and limits" page in the profile menu.
- Number of mentions — a monthly limit. All mentions collected by your keywords count toward it.
An overly broad query (for example, a general word without clarifications) collects many irrelevant mentions and quickly uses up the monthly limit. It is better to split a broad topic into several narrower keywords.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to know search query syntax to create a keyword?
No. You describe the task in plain language, and the AI assistant forms the technical query itself. If you wish, you can view the finished query on the "Usual Query" tab.
How many keywords can I create?
It depends on your plan. See the "Used N/M" label under the "Keyword" filter or the "Data and limits" page. If the limit is reached, click "Notify manager" on the "Data and limits" page or write to the support chat.
Why don't I see a pencil next to a keyword?
The pencil appears only next to keywords you created yourself. Keywords set up by the LOOQME team are changed by support — write to us in the chat.
Why are there few mentions for my keyword?
Check the selected period in the page header, as well as the language, geography and source types in the keyword settings. The topic may have been active earlier, or the query may be too narrow. If you can't find the reason, write to the support chat.
What should I do if there are many irrelevant mentions in the feed?
Refine the query: add exclusions (words that should not appear nearby) or narrow down the language or geography. For keywords created with the AI assistant, you can do this by continuing the dialogue with it. For other keywords, write to support.
If you need more help, write to the support chat or contact your manager.
