You can create a new monitoring keyword yourself — without knowing search query syntax. For this, LOOQME has an AI assistant: you describe in plain language what you want to track, and it composes the query, shows examples of found mentions and explains how the query works.
The number of keywords is limited by your plan. Before creating one, check the "Used N/M" label in the "Keyword" filter. If the limit is reached, contact your manager or the support chat to extend it.
Step 1. Open the AI assistant
- In the "Mentions" feed, click the filter icon (funnel) to the left of the "N Keyword / N publications" counter.
- In the "Keyword" block, click ⊕ "Used N/M" under the keyword list.
- The keyword creation page opens: on the left — a chat with the AI assistant, on the right — the parameters of the future query.
| # | Element | What it is for |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Chat with the AI assistant | Your dialogue is shown here: your requests and the assistant's explanations. |
| 2 | "Enter your mention question here…" field | Describe what you want to monitor and press Enter or the arrow. |
| 3 | "Ai Query", "Usual Query", "Mentions" tabs | "Ai Query" — the parameters in a convenient form; "Usual Query" — the technical query text; "Mentions" — a preview of found publications. |
| 4 | Keyword name | What the keyword will be called in the feed, filters and reports. |
| 5 | Query body | The words and phrases used to search for mentions and the relations between them. |
| 6 | Filters | Source type, Geography, Language, Source, Publication type — they limit where exactly to search for mentions. |
| 7 | "Mentions" and "Copy" | The status of collecting sample mentions and copying the query. |
| 8 | "Created" | The history of your dialogues with the AI assistant. |
| 9 | "Create" | Saves the keyword and starts collecting mentions. |
Step 2. Describe what you want to monitor
Write your request in plain language in the field (2). The more specific it is, the more accurate the result. Specify:
- the monitored object — a brand, company, person, product or topic;
- spelling variants — in Latin and Cyrillic, abbreviations, old names;
- language and geography, if they matter;
- what to exclude — topics or words that create "noise".
For example: "I want to monitor mentions of monobank in Ukrainian media and social media. Language — Ukrainian. I don't need publications about fundraising."
While working, the assistant shows its stages: "Analyzing context" → "Generating search code" → "Finalizing the result". This usually takes up to a minute. When everything is ready, the message "Done! Your request has been completed successfully" appears.
Step 3. Check the result
| # | Element | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Your message | The request you sent to the assistant. |
| 2 | AI explanation | What exactly the query finds and how it narrows down the search. Read it to see whether it matches your task. |
| 3 | 👍 / 👎 and the flag | Rating the answer and reporting a problem — they help us improve the assistant. |
| 4 | "Mentions collected ✓" | Sample mentions for the preview have been collected. |
| 5 | Counter on the "Mentions" tab | How many mentions were found by the query. A very large number is a sign that the query is too broad. |
| 6 | Keyword name | If needed, change the name to one that is clear to you and your colleagues. |
| 7 | Query body | The words and phrases of the query. "AND" means both conditions must be present, "OR" means one of them is enough. |
| 8 | Filters | Restrictions the assistant added automatically (for example, "Only" a certain language or source type). |
| 9 | "Create" | Click it when you are happy with the result. |
If you wish, open the "Usual Query" tab — it shows the technical text of the query formed by the assistant. You don't need to edit it manually.
Step 4. Review sample mentions
Open the "Mentions" tab. It shows a preview of the result: the keyword name, the number of found mentions ("N total / N originals") and a list of publications. You can change the preview period in the list on the right: "for the last week" or "for the last 2 weeks". Found words are highlighted in the text.
The preview is not the complete search result — it is only an example of the mentions the keyword will collect. Full collection starts after you click "Create".
Step 5. Refine the query (if needed)
If the examples contain unnecessary publications or, on the contrary, something is missing, just continue the dialogue in the chat. For example:
- "Exclude publications about sports";
- "Add English variants of the name: monobank, mono bank";
- "Search only in online media".
After each refinement, check the explanation, the query body and the "Mentions" tab again.
Make one change at a time and name specific words. This makes it easier for the assistant to understand what exactly to add or exclude.
Step 6. Create the keyword
- Click "Create" in the bottom right corner.
- The "Keyword created!" window appears. The system will need some time to collect mentions. When everything is ready, you will receive an email — also check your "Spam" folder.
- Click "Good". The new keyword appears in the feed and in the "Keyword" filter.
Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to collect mentions after creating a keyword?
It depends on the volume of the topic. When collection is complete, you will receive an email. If the email takes a long time to arrive, check your "Spam" folder or write to the support chat.
Can I change a keyword after creating it?
Yes. Open the "Keyword" filter, hover over the keyword you need and click the pencil ✎ — the same dialogue with the AI assistant opens, where you can continue refining it. Learn more in the article "How to Edit or Delete a Keyword".
What does "Created" at the top of the page mean?
This is the history of your dialogues with the AI assistant. You can return to a previous dialogue from there.
The assistant found a lot of mentions. Is that bad?
A large number of mentions often means the query is too broad: many irrelevant publications will get into the feed, and the monthly mention limit will quickly run out. Narrow down the query (add exclusions, language or geography) or split the topic into several separate keywords.
The assistant found few or no mentions. What should I do?
Possible reasons: the topic was active before the preview period; the query is too narrow; the wrong language or geography is selected. Try changing the period on the "Mentions" tab or ask the assistant to broaden the query.
Can I ask support to create a keyword for me?
Yes. For complex and critical topics, we recommend contacting support — specialists will compose and check the query manually.
If you need more help, write to the support chat or contact your manager.
