A report template determines what your report will look like: which charts it includes, how mentions are grouped and sorted, how much text is shown, which data about each article is displayed, as well as the logo and document title. Once created, a template can be used both for scheduled reports and for manual exports from the feed.

How to open the template builder

  1. In the "Reports" section, select a feed and click "Add" → "Create custom report".
  2. In the "Create report" form, click "Create a new template" under the "Template for mailing" field.
  3. The "Create a template for a report" wizard opens with four steps: "Main", "Chart selection", "Display", "Preview".

Step 1. Main

  • "Template name" * — what the template will be called in lists (required field).
  • "Document name" — the heading that will appear in the report.
  • "Logo" — click "Choose file" to add your company logo to the report.

Click "Next".

Step 2. Chart selection

Select the charts that will be in the report. They are grouped by analytics pages (2): "General Analytics", "Social Media Analytics", "Media Analytics", as well as your custom pages. A tick next to a page name selects all its charts (3), and next to an individual chart — only that chart. The number of selected charts is shown next to it, for example "13 / 13".

"Chart selection" step of the report template: wizard steps, the "General Analytics" page group, the list of charts and the "Next" button

If the set of charts you need is not there, first put it together on a custom analytics page — it will appear in this list.

Step 3. Display

Here you set up how mentions are shown in the report.

"Display" step: switches, "Text display mode", "Message grouping in report", "If news repeats", "Sort grouped mentions", "Translation language selection"
