Q Insight saves your chats automatically, so you can return to any previous analysis. This article explains how to manage chats through the menu, find a conversation in history, copy an answer and rate its quality.

In short: the ⋮ menu in the Q Insight header → "Create a new chat", "Request history", "Delete chat", "Using the AI Assistant", "Learn more about Assistant AI". Under each answer there are 👍, 👎 and "Copy" buttons.

The Q Insight menu

Q Insight menu: expand, ⋮, "Create a new chat", "Request history", "Delete chat", "Using the AI Assistant", "Learn more about Assistant AI"

# Element What it does
1 Expand Opens the chat in a large window over the feed.
2 ⋮ Opens the menu.
3 "Create a new chat" Starts a new conversation from scratch. The previous chat is saved in history.
4 "Request history" A list of your previous chats.
5 "Delete chat" Deletes the current chat (appears when a chat is open). Confirmation is required.
6 "Using the AI Assistant" Shows your request limit. Learn more in the article "Q Insight Limits and How to Increase Them".
7 "Learn more about Assistant AI" Opens a help article in a new tab.

How to create a new chat

  1. Click ⋮ → "Create a new chat" (in the large window — the ⊕ button).
  2. An empty chat with hints and example requests opens.
  3. Before asking a question, check the feed filters — the new analysis is performed on the current selection.

Create a new chat for each new topic or selection — this way answers won't mix the context of different conversations.

How to find a previous chat in history

Q Insight chat history in the large window: the list of chats on the left and the new chat, history, delete, collapse and menu buttons

  1. Click ⋮ → "Request history" (in the large window — the clock button (3)).
  2. In the list (1), each chat is labeled with its first question, with the date next to it (for example, "today").
  3. Click a chat to open it. You can continue the conversation — ask a new follow-up question.

Buttons in the large window: ⊕ — new chat (2), clock — history (3), trash can — delete the current chat (4), collapse — return to the panel next to the feed (5), ⋮ — menu (6).

If you haven't asked any questions yet, the history will say "You have no chats".

How to copy an answer

  1. Under the Q Insight answer, find three icons: 👍, 👎 and "Copy" (two sheets).
  2. Click "Copy" — the answer text is copied to the clipboard, and a short notification appears at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Paste the text into a report, presentation or email (Ctrl+V / Cmd+V).

How to rate an answer

Click 👍 if the answer is useful, or 👎 if it isn't. This way you mark how useful the answer was to you.

How to delete a chat

  1. Open the chat you want to delete.
  2. Click ⋮ → "Delete chat" (in the large window — the trash can icon).
  3. In the "Are you sure you want to delete this chat?" window, click "Delete" or "Cancel".

A deleted chat disappears from history. If you may need the answer, copy it before deleting.

How to use the results

  • insert key conclusions into weekly reports or dashboards;
  • share insights with your team in a messenger or by email;
  • use the points as arguments in internal presentations.

Q Insight can make mistakes: the AI builds the answer based on the text of publications, but does not always interpret the context correctly. Check key conclusions, figures and quotes directly in the feed.
