In addition to the main filters, the feed has additional filters: review rating, publication place rating, mention audience, author, publication place and "Popular words" — a cloud of the words that appear most often in your mentions. They help you quickly find influential publications or mentions on a specific subtopic.
How to turn on additional filters
- In the "Mentions" section, open the filter panel (the funnel icon).
- Scroll down the panel.
- Turn on the "Additional filters" switch. New fields appear below it.
| # | Filter | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | "Additional filters" | A switch that shows or hides the advanced filters. |
| 2 | Rate | Review rating from 1 to 5 stars (for reviews, for example on maps and review sites). Next to each value there are ⊕ (show) and ⊖ (exclude). |
| 3 | Rating of the Publication Place | The publication place rating range from 0 to 5. Enter the "from" and "to" values or drag the sliders, then click the green ✓ button. |
| 4 | Mention Audience | Show mentions with an audience in a given range: fill in the "From" and/or "To" fields. For example, from 100000 — only publications with a large audience. |
| 5 | Context of References → "Popular Words" | Opens a cloud of the most frequent words in mentions. Click a word to keep only mentions containing it in the feed. |
| 6 | Author | Mentions only from certain authors (journalists, bloggers, account owners). |
| 7 | Publication Place | Mentions only from certain pages, groups, channels (for social media). |
How to use "Popular Words"
- Turn on "Additional filters" and click "Popular Words ›".
- A window with a word cloud opens. The bigger the word, the more often it appears in mentions for the selected period and filters. Building the cloud may take 10–30 seconds.
- Click the word you need. It appears at the top of the window as a chip (1), and the cloud (2) is rebuilt taking the selected word into account. You can select several words.
- To remove a word, click ✕ on its chip. The "Clear" button (3) resets all selected words.
- Click "Apply" (4). The "Popular Words: …" filter appears in the feed, and only mentions with these words remain.
Tip. "Popular words" is a convenient way to quickly understand what is written about most and to find new subtopics: for example, names of products, cities or events that often appear next to your brand.
Frequently asked questions
The word cloud takes a long time to load. Is that normal?
Yes, the system analyzes the texts of all mentions for the selected period, so on large volumes it may take up to half a minute. To speed it up, narrow down the period or apply other filters.
How do I find only publications with a large audience?
Turn on "Additional filters" and in the "Mention Audience" → "From" field enter the minimum value (for example, 1000000). You can also sort the feed by source audience.
How do I filter reviews with a low rating?
Additional filters → "Rate" → click ⊕ next to one and two stars.
How do I remove additional filters?
Click ✕ on the filter chip above the feed or the "Clear" button. The "Additional filters" switch only shows or hides the fields; by itself it does not filter the feed.
