Media Quality Index is an indicator of the quality of communication for traditional media. It allows you to assess the quality of publications for the period on a consolidated basis and it is calculated for the entire array. It is based on the characteristics of the publication (role, sentiment) and edition (type and level of the media).

MQ allows you to compare objects of communication (companies/brands) with a different volume of publications, since when calculating it, the number of mentions is leveled.

MQ = MV / number of mentions

Here, comparing two companies with a different number of publications, you can see only quality. For example, we can evaluate the quality of communications of PrivatBank and Monobank, although the first one will have ~ 5000 publications, and the second one – 76. This is the difference with the MV index.
